Sanskrit Verse
जङ्घे तलातलमथो सुतलं च जानू
किञ्चोरुभागयुगलं वितलातले द्वे ।
क्षोणीतलं जघनमम्बरमङ्ग नाभि-
र्वक्षश्च शक्रनिलयस्तव चक्रपाणे ॥२॥

சுழல்சக்கரம்தரி குருவாயூரனே ! உன்
முழங்கால்கள் தலாதல உலகமென
துடைகள் அதல விதல உலகமென
இடை இப்புவியென, உந்தி வானென
மார்பகம் உம்பர்வாழ் உலகமென
அமைந்தன என உரைவரே முனிஞானியர் 6.2

janghe talaatalamathO sutalaM cha jaanuu
ki~nchOrubhaagayugalaM vitalaatale dve |
kshONiitalaM jaghanamambaramanga naabhirvakshashcha

ஜங்கே₄ தலாதலமதோ₂ ஸுதலம் ச ஜாநூ
கிஞ்சோருபா₄க₃யுக₃லம் விதலாதலே த்₃வே |
க்ஷோணீதலம் ஜக₄நமம்ப₃ரமங்க₃ நாபி₄-
ர்வக்ஷஶ்ச ஶக்ரநிலயஸ்தவ சக்ரபாணே || 2||
Meaning in English
O Lord! The wielder of the Discus! (One who handles the Chakra with skill and easily). Then “Your” shanks (a part from the knee to the ankle) are ‘Talatala’ and “Your” knees are ‘Sutala’, further, two parts of “Your” thigh region (the lower part of the thighs and waist region) are the two worlds ‘Vitala’ and ‘Atala’ respectively. “Your” hip is the Earth, navel is the Sky and “Your” chest ‘Swarga’, the abode of Indra.
Meaning of the Sanskrit Words
जङ्घे तलातलम्- (Thy) shins Talaata
अथ: सुतलं च जानू - then, Sutala (are Thy) knees
किञ्च-उरु-भाग-युगलं - moreover, the two thighs (are)
वितल-अतले द्वे - the two (worlds) Vitala and Atala
क्षोणीतलं जघनम्- the earth is (Thy) hip
अम्बरम्-अङ्ग नाभि: - sky is O Lord! the navel
वक्ष: - च -and the chest
शक्र-निलय: तव - of Thine is the abode of Indra (swarga)
चक्रपाणे - O Wielder of the discus
