Sanskrit Verse

भवद्भक्तिस्तावत् प्रमुखमधुरा त्वत् गुणरसात्

किमप्यारूढा चेदखिलपरितापप्रशमनी ।

पुनश्चान्ते स्वान्ते विमलपरिबोधोदयमिल–

न्महानन्दाद्वैतं दिशति किमत: प्रार्थ्यमपरम् ॥६॥

English Transliteration

bhavadbhaktistaavat pramukhamadhuraa tvadguNarasaat

kimapyaaruuDhaa chedakhilaparitaapaprashamanii |

punashchaante svaante vimalaparibOdhOdayamila

nmahaanandaadvaitaM dishati kimataH praarthyamaparam ||

Tamil Transliteration

ப₄வத்₃ப₄க்திஸ்தாவத் ப்ரமுக₂மது₄ரா த்வத் கு₃ணரஸாத்

கிமப்யாரூடா₄ சேத₃கி₂லபரிதாபப்ரஶமநீ |

புநஶ்சாந்தே ஸ்வாந்தே விமலபரிபோ₃தோ₄த₃யமில-

ந்மஹாநந்தா₃த்₃வைதம் தி₃ஶதி கிமத: ப்ரார்த்₂யமபரம் || 6||.

Meaning in English

O Lord! devotion to Thee is sweet right from the beginning because of Thy glorious attributes. When such devotion becomes intense, it removes all sorrows of the devotee. At the final stage of devotion, the devotee experiences pure absolute Bliss coupled with knowledge of the Self. What more is there for one to seek !

தோற்றம் முழு நேர்த்திநிறை நற்குணச்சாற்றினால், உன்னிடம்

தொடக்கம் தனிலேயே இனிமையன்றோ எளியோர்க்கு பக்தி !

அது சிறிதேனும் தொடர்கையில் தொலைத்திடுமே துயரனைத்தும்

அளித்திடுமே முடிவதனில் உளப்பேரின்ப மெய்பொருளறி ஓர்நிலை!

அது தவிர்த்து நாடிச் செல்ல வேறேது உள எமக்கு நாராயணனே !3.6
